@symbeosis I'm no expert, but I have only heard of the Kinder/Bleaklow features referred to as gullies. I think that they are the result of over-grazing in the peatlands by sheep, but again I'm no peatland researcher.Read More
@defeberon Instead of selecting one neighbourhood size to characterize EP, Whitebox can measure it across a range of scales, capturing detail of a range of sizes of gullies in a single image, like the one above.Read More
@defeberon Elevation percentile is a measure of local topographic position. Since gullies occupy local low-points in landscapes, EP can be helpful to map these features. But EP requires a spatial scale (neighbourhood size). The MultiscaleElevPercentile tool in Whitebox can help with this.Read More
